These schemes could be either Central, state specific or joint collaboration between the Centre and the states. Indraprastha Academy Group is working hard to establish interface between those who are in need and these government schemes.
ASDC
Automotive Skill Development Council
Conduct research and analysis to establish the skill gaps & develop modular courses to fill such gaps.
Improve competitiveness by integrating new requirements such as fuel cells, electric cars, new materials, telematics and mechatronics with automotive engineering.
Enhance and standardize the delivery mechanism for the courses through existing institutes/ delivery partners.
Ensure quality assurance by streamline certification framework.
ESSCI
Electronics Sector Skills Council of India
Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) is a Not‐for‐Profit Organization, registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956.The Council has been promoted by Five Associations i.e. CEAMA, ELCINA, IESA (formerly ISA) , IPCA & MAIT, with financial support by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Our focus is on establishing an effective and efficient ecosystem for development and imparting of outcome oriented skills for the electronics systems, design and manufacturing industry (ESDM) including relevant curriculum, courses, information database, delivery system, standardization, accreditation and certification processes to enhance the employability of the Indian workforce globally.
PSSC
Power Sector Skill Council
PSSC has been promoted by Ministry of Power through Central Electrical Authority (CEA) alongwith Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA). The Governing Body of PSSC is chaired by Chairperson, CEA as President and has representation from across the Power Sector covering Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Renewable Energy and Equipment Manufacturing. This is a completely industry and employer driven initiative designed to help them with improved availability of readily employable and skilled workforce through a robust process of development of National Occupational Standards (NOS), skill based training and finally its assessment and certification.
HSSC
Healthcare Sector Skill Council
The Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Council has been promoted by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and leading Healthcare Industry Members representing both public and private sector, financially supported by NSDC. The key objective of the Council is to create a robust and vibrant eco-system for quality education and skill development in paramedics and allied healthcare space in the country. In addition, the Healthcare Sector Skill Council serves as a single source of information on healthcare sector with specific reference to Skill and Human Resource Development in India.
The Council is aimed to develop National Occupational Standards & Qualification Packs for various job-roles in paramedics and allied healthcare, Identify skill-gaps, Design Courses and Training Content, Set Standards, Put-in place an Assessment & Certification Mechanism, Accredit Training Institutes, Provide Placement Support and Help Institutes Build & Upgrade their Capacity through train-the-trainer program.
THSC
Tourism & Hospitality Sector Skill Council
Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council ( THSC), is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The Council has been promoted by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Industry Members representing the sector, financially supported by NSDC. The Sector Skill Council is a national level organization with a Government-Industry interface and partnership with stakeholders from industry, labour as well as the academia. It fulfils its purpose essentially when the lead is taken by Industry stakeholders.
Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) which is formed 'By the Industry and For the Industry' to tackle the skilling of large manpower to fulfill the industry requirement plays a crucial role in bridging this ever-growing gap. THSC is mandated to create a robust and sustainable eco-system for skill development in the industry.
